I am making this consultation as an individual expressing my concerns. I would prefer my name is not published.
Adding additional Senedd members when there is already enough representatives within the Senedd is nothing more than a waste of money. Quite frankly, over the 21 years I've been in Wales the Senedd have had close to no positive impact on my life, the Welsh government are seen as money grabbers. The government already wastes around £100k per member on expenses, why would you want to add additional strain on the already ruined economy. All I ever see in the news is the Welsh government cutting essential services to pay for their pet projects '20mph' being the biggest one. It hasn't added the 'one minute' per trip with my commute being an additional 5-15 minutes per way. Public transport is being cut due to increased travel times, the train system is a mess. I see more buses as train replacements than trains on the tracks nowadays. The NHS is on its knees, and rather than spending the extra money on key issues I.e maintenance and staffing the Welsh government want to add more members to pay for?
An absolute disgrace this was even brought up.
